Isaac Thomas was Maysville, Kentucky’s most prolific potter during the first half of the 19th century. This jar, marked I THOMAS, has three minor chips at the base and one at the rim flange totaling approximately one half a cubic inch total loss, otherwise in fine condition. This jar most likely dates within the second quarter of the 19th century.
